In Speaking Part 1 the examiner will introduce himself to you. You will need to show your ID and confirm your identity. The examiner will then ask a series of questions about everyday general topics.
There will normally be 12 questions, on 3 topics.
These topics will cover situations such as work, studying, family, hobbies etc. Part 1 normally lasts between 4-5 minutes and is seen as an ice-breaker.
Practising :
Having a study partner will help you to practice, this can be your teacher, or a friend taking the exam. Ask your partner to play the role of the examiner. Try to record your answers so you can play them back later and check for mistakes.
